LEPacy Challenge: Rise of the fourth generation - and the winner is . . .

LEPacy Challenge: Rise of the fourth generation - and the winner is . . .  All the children of the fourth generation have arrived, and then some. First came Garrett, then twins Aretha and Gunnar, then Greg was adopted. Stanley and Shasha tried several times to adopt their fifth child, but the adoption agency kept saying they'd be right over, and the option for selecting children never arrived. Finally they decided to get their last child the old-fashioned way. They tried for a baby, but as both had the fertility treatment, they had twins again - Gavin and Groucho.  This created some trouble as it placed nine people and three dogs in the household that was only supposed to support eight people.  This knocked Stanley's portrait off the panel and made it so I could no longer control him. I solved the problem by moving Keebler out, but during the move, I got the warning that there were still too many in the household, so Keebler took his favorite dog Stinkle with him.  He got his

LEPacy Challenge: Hello Riverview

LEPacy Challenge: Hello Riverview I'm assuming it's because I play Sims 3 on a regular old laptop and have the Story Progression mod, but it seems the game starts to freeze frequently once I am in a town long enough for the old generation to pass away and the current generation to start producing children.  The warning sign seems to be when the "town council" starts squawking about the lack of adequate housing for the population.  I think too much starts happening in the town at that point.  At any rate, usually moving to a new town fixes the problem, so goodbye Appaloosa Plains, Hello Riverview. Stanley's family now consists of him, his wife Shasha, toddler Garrett, and infants Aretha and Gunnar.  Add to this a roommate (not controlled by me) two adult dogs, and two puppies, and finding a house big enough is a challenge, even if the household has over 100,000 simoleons after selling the house and most of the furniture.  Usually when a households moves, I get a w

I don't have a picture for the wall other than the photobooth pic posted earlier of Shasha.  But here's her engagement photo that I forgot to post last time. Here's the family photo wall.  I do wish the second generation turned out lighter so I could see them better.  Upper left: generation #1 - Lucy Walton & Cycl0n3 Sw0rd; lower left: generation #2 - Cordell Sw0rd and Shauna Donner-Sekemoto; right: generation #3 - Stanley (heir), sister Sonja, and sister Sarah (below). Here is Stanley's and Shasha's house - I added the upper floor to accommodate the growing family: I have since expanded the left side to a second floor so I could move in the required "helper" for the children. Stanley made good friends with Chuck Hobble, who was getting old and lived alone on a big ranch. While this was clearly a horse property, Chuck had no horses, just one dog.  Stanley eventually invited Chuck to move in with him and play "pop-pop" to his son Garrett. Bef

LEPacy legacy challenge - Stanley goes back to college - this time with sister Sonja

The first thing Stanley did when he returned from college was put up pictures of himself and his new-found girlfriend. Her name is Shasha Parks (soon to be Shasha Sw0rd). She is a University townie who lives with her grandma and older sister. She has a technology degree. Her lifetime wish is to be an illustrious author. I think she will be able to write AND dumpster dive (dumpster diving being one of the requirements for this generation).  As fate would have it, Stanley returned home from his first term in college just in time to watch Grim show up an take both his dogs. Being a dog lover, this was a very difficult time for him. Brave, mean-spirited Shauna had quite enough of this business and gave Grim a piece of her mind.  Also, while home from college, Stanley got to attend his sister Sonja's birthday.  She will be joining him this coming term.  He'll move out of the dorm, and they plan to share a house. Share a house, they did.  They found a lovely two bedroom "party
