Hello, Kathy Roland speaking. I don't think you've heard from me before. My sister Jolene is the one who usually speaks for my family. But I just got a look at my daughter's essay, and thought you might need a little more information about what's going on with me from an adult's perspective. First of all, I really did try to make my relationship with Tim work. Magdalena was a surprise baby, but I don't regret having her one bit. Where she heard the word "bastard" is beyond me, but I can see Tim teasing her good-naturedly about it, or the kids at school might have taught her that word. It NEVER came from me - I want to be clear about that. I moved in with Tim fully intending for us to get married, but he's just so condescending and abrasive and insensitive, and thoughtless!
